Sports bras for large breasts

Finding the best sports bra for big boobs can be a right snorefest. Some styles are too tight, others gape in all the wrong places and many simply don’t exist in your cup size! No wonder it’s a task that we put off, and off, and off.

The bad news is that poor support up top can damage your delicate breast tissue, meaning it’s important to find the right sports bra for your large breasts. The good news? We’ve tried and tested the best anti-bouncers on the shelves. Whether you’re jogging round the park or posing on your yoga mat, we’ve found a sports bra that’ll help your girls live their best life.

What are the best sports bras for large breasts?

For bustier babes, it’s all about support. There are two types of sports bra to choose between: compression bras that pack everything in tightly to stop jiggling and encapsulation bras with individual cup support. Underwiring can maximise security but some women find it uncomfortable while exercising.

Designed exclusively for D to G cups, this high-tech bra is a gamechanger for bustier babes. Made with unique WRAPA® technology, it claims to offer maximum support, without suppressing your boobs.

Sure enough, our testers noted unrivalled support and bounce reduction on the road and in the gym. They loved the front-adjusting straps for scaling up the support depending on their workout, and unlike many bras for large chests, they found the racerback style and contoured design oh-so flattering.

Panache Wired Sports Bra

Underwired sports bras that are supportive and comfortable can be hard to find, but this Panache offering hits the nail on the head.Perfect for gals with bigger boobs, it provides high support thanks to the moulded, wired cups, thick shoulder straps and adjustable racerback fit.“I felt totally supported until the end of my workout,” declared one enthusiastic tester. No chafing or digging in was reported either. The tight fit means it can be a struggle to get on, but you can’t have good support without a bit of squeeze.

B.X.M. Limitless High Impact Sports Bra

Do you have a penchant for HIIT workouts? If so, listen up, because this top-qual bra – made from 100% recycled plastic bottles – can handle all the burpees, squat jumps and high knees you throw at it.

On test, it proved incredibly supportive and remained comfy to wear, even when things got hot and sweaty. Our panel liked how durable the bra felt and appreciated the full coverage fit, which prevented the puppies from spilling out. “It felt good not having to think about my boobs while exercising,” said one tester.

The clasps at the back proved a little awkward to reach, and the straps had a tendency to flip over when we lifted our arms overhead, but those were our only niggles.

An underwired sports bra that’s actually comfortable and doesn’t dig in? Yes please! Like the Panache offering featured above, this bra went down a treat with our panel. They said it was a cinch to slip into and out of, it felt buttery soft against their skin, and they didn’t experience any dreaded rubbing or chafing. Excellent stuff.

It offers adequate bounce protection for low- to medium-impact sessions, but don’t expect it to keep your boobs in place if you head out for a run. Still, if comfort is priority, moulded cups, soft underwires and cushioned straps mean it doesn’t get much better than this.

Sweaty Betty Ultra Running Sports Bra

This bra is designed with running in mind but would be suitable for any high-impact workout. Made with fast-drying fabric and featuring mesh panels on the front and back, you’ll stay cool as a cucumber, even during the sweatiest of sessions.

There’s no fear of your boobs jiggling around, either – the bra boasts encapsulating cups and compressive fabric to keep everything in place as you rack up the miles or bang out the burpees.

Our panel liked the thick padded straps for a comfortable fit and said the classic hook-eye fastening made the bra a doddle to get in and out of. Bonus points for the adjustable straps, which can be worn as a U-back or racer back, depending on the support you need.
