For most people, boobs are a fact of life. Nearly half of the UK population has them, and because they come in so many shapes and sizes, every pair is completely unique. They can, however, become a slightly controversial topic of conversation that everyone seems to have an opinion on – whether they have breasts or not.

The argument surrounding the ‘ideal breast size’ has been debated for decades, without ever reaching a real conclusion. To try and gain a better understanding of whether there really is an ideal breast size to have, we’ll be taking a look at our 2017 survey, which asked 1100 men and women to find out what they believe the best breasts are, and the results might just surprise you.

When our participants were asked what their ideal breast size would be, the C cup was considered the most popular, with 39% choosing it above other sizes. In second place, was the D cup, which was the first choice of 29% of people who completed our survey.

When we broke down our data by gender, we could see that men and women voted slightly differently. 41% of women said that a C cup would be their ideal size, followed by 25% who said that they would prefer to have a D cup, and 22% who favoured a B cup.

For men, however, it was found that they tended to choose slightly bigger cup sizes, with 41% saying that a D cup is their ideal, 31% choosing a C cup and 12% opting for a B cup.

A selection of smaller sizes was chosen by our female respondents, although it’s also interesting to note that more women voted for the larger E cup than men. We believe that these results reflect that everyone has a different idea of what the ideal would look like, regardless of their gender.

When it comes to boobs, is there really a best boob size? Which ones really are the best? It’s kind of hard to say since everyone has different tastes.

Traditionally, we are all taught through the media that the bigger, the better. But before you run off to make an appointment at the plastic surgeon’s office, you may want to know what this study had to say.

To put an end to the controversy over breast size, this study polled 1,000 Europeans and 1,000 Americans to find out what the ideal breast size was according to both men and women.

After finding out their preferences, the answers were then compared to the actual breast sizes of the women living in those countries.

Researchers wanted to find out if all of the money spent on push-up bras and breast implants was actually necessary.

What is the “perfect” or “best” boob size?

According to the study, nearly 54% of men and more than 60% of women preferred breasts that were of average size.

It was determined that 35% of men and 31% of women thought that larger breasts were better, while 11% of men and 9% of women thought that smaller breast size was more ideal.

More women seemed to prefer an average breast size over a larger one because of back problems, bra expenses, and challenges that are associated with having large breasts.

Getting even more specific, researchers asked men and women to divulge which cup size they thought was best. According to the study, over half of the women polled thought that a C cup was ideal while 26% thought that a B cup was best and 2% of women thought that an A cup was better.

Men also agreed that a C cup was ideal; however, more men than women said that they like D and DD cups. Throughout Europe, in countries such as Portugal, Spain, the Netherlands, U.K, and Austria, people agreed that a C cup was perfect.

What is the Ideal Breast Size?

Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. The parameters of beauty also differ from one culture to another and also change with time and fashion. Ancient Indian sculptures and art depict women with full hemispherical breasts. Such breasts are still in vogue in India especially with women who prefer traditional saris other ethnic dresses. West in contrast has seen a lot of change in fashion – as related to breast size.

Breasts should be proportionate to woman’s body frame and built. The concept of 36-24-36 inches, though quite exaggerated, basically refers to breast size being equal to hips, with a significant narrower waist in between.

Breast size is commonly referred to in terms of cup size, B, C, and D cup sizes being most common. C cup is moderate and pleasant size for woman average built. B cup may look adequate on petite athletic women. A lot of western models are cup size B. D cup size breasts are full and look good on women of larger frame. A lot of Indian women seeking breast augmentation like D cup size, especially married women who have had children.

Younger, unmarried women tend to prefer smaller breasts.Woman’s body built is important because if the arms or tummy is bulky then breasts will have to be bigger to give the right profile. In thinner women relatively smaller size breasts will give the same look.

Ideal breast size is also determined by the lifestyle. Active sporty women like moderate sized breasts. Women who wear heavier clothing like saree want larger breasts. In contrast women who wear western clothes may prefer moderate size breasts. Women in entertainment industry prefer larger breast size.

Lot of women with breasts smaller or larger than average, are perfectly satisfied with their size. Some women on the other hand are uncomfortable or embarrassed about their breast size. Sometimes their partners are dissatisfied. In such circumstances plastic surgical augmentation or reduction of breast can help women achieve what they desire.
