Best makeup for covering dark spots

There’s a makeup trend going around to ditch the foundation and primarily only wear concealer as your full coverage. So of course I want to try it, which is why I’m sharing some of the best concealers on the market especially the best concealer for dark spots.

8 Best Concealers for Dark Spots

1. Magic Away Concealer by Charlotte Tilbury

Starting off with the famous Magic Away Concealer by Charlotte Tilbury. This is an amazing full coverage concealer that literally blurs away any blemishes, dark eye circles, or discoloration on your face.

Your skin and skin tone will look legit flawless—hence why it’s called magic away. They have such a large lineup of different shades to choose from, so there’s something for everyone.

I love the Magic Precision magic cushion applicator that rolls over and hugs the eye area perfectly. This product is literally the holy grail concealer for everyone including professional makeup artists.

Another ingredient that makes this concealer so great is the Bliss Molecule that helps reduce the look of fine lines and wrinkles. For $32, the Magic Away concealer is so worth the investment.

2. IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye Anti-Aging Concealer

IT Cosmetics is one of my go-to concealers because of how full coverage and waterproof it is. It has a natural finish and is a cream base meaning that it works well on dry skin.

You can find a wide range of different colors to match your skin tone perfectly. The best part about this concealer is that it lasts up to 24 hours without creasing and looks natural all day long.

This concealer is also very easy to blend into the skin. You just need to dot some out of the package, warm it up with your fingers, and apply—it’s that easy.

The coverage on this is so good that it will literally look like you’re wearing a full-on foundation. Say goodbye to dark circles wearing this coverage.

3. Tarte Shape Tape Contour Concealer

This Tarte Shape Tape concealer has been another one of my favorite concealers for dark spots. I’ve been using this one for years and it has never failed me.

The coverage on this is amazing and it never creases. The matte finish helps smooth out your skin leaving your face looking flawless.

Since it has tape technology, you don’t have to worry about fine lines and wrinkles since it will give a blur effect once you apply it. There are so many shades to choose from making it an easy shade match.

It’s made with shea butter, mango butter, and licorice root to help moisturize and maintain your skin’s elasticity.

Nothing beats a vegan, cruelty-free, and waterproof concealer. I will continue to swear by this concealer because it’s chef kiss so good.

4. Dior Forever Skin Correct Concealer

The Dior Forever Skin Correct concealer is another fan favorite because it’s a full-coverage creamy concealer. So your skin will be feeling hydrated and look flawless.

With just one swipe, the concealer will last up to 24 hours and will hide any dark spots, redness, blemishes, and under eye circles. The product absorbs into the skin pretty quickly so you don’t have to worry about it feeling heavy.

I really like that this concealer doesn’t set into any fine lines, which means it won’t crease. The coverage on this is buildable meaning that the more you put on the more coverage you’ll get.

It also brightens up the skin leaving your face looking youthful and glowy. You can’t go wrong with Dior.

5. ILIA True Skin Serum Concealer

ILIA is a new beauty brand I discovered on Instagram. I’ve been seeing their stuff tagged everywhere and I’m so intrigued to try their stuff—their marketing is too good. Plus, several of my gfs swear by them.

I love that all their products have an emphasis on clean ingredients and emphasizing your natural skin. I really wanted to try the True Skin Serum concealer because it’s made with Vitamin C, Mastic, and Albizia Julibrissin Bark Extract.

These ingredients help improve your skin over time, while also promoting a brighter and more even complexion.

I’m also a big fan of the protection against environmental stressors. The only downside to this is that it’s a medium coverage concealer, so if you have really dark spots this might not cover it completely.

But if you don’t mind, then this concealer is worth the try. Who doesn’t want to try a featherweight texture concealer that blends seamlessly into the skin.

6. NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer

NARS is a classic beauty brand staple. I’ve been meaning to try their Radiant Creamy concealer because I’ve heard such great things about it.

It’s a medium to buildable coverage concealer meaning that the more concealer you put on the more it’s going to cover any dark spots. This concealer will last up to 16 hours without any creasing.

I love that this concealer helps brighten and correct your skin to keep your face looking radiant. Since it’s a liquid formula it will leave your skin looking dewy so if you don’t love that finish you may not like this concealer.

I had to include the NARS Soft Matte Complete concealer for my ladies with more oily skin. I’ve heard some really great things about this NARS concealer and how full coverage it is.

It’s a cream-based formula that is oil-free so you know you won’t get any breakouts—this is a huge plus. It is long-wearing so it’ll last you all day without any creasing.

I love that it’s made with vegan ingredients and it leaves your skin looking natural. It’s also made with Peptides, Hyaluronic Acid, and Antioxidants to nourish your face.

8. Kosas Revealer Super Creamy + Brightening Concealer and Daytime Eye Cream

Last but not least, the Kosas Revealer Super Creamy + Brightening concealer. This concealer has been on my wishlist for some time now.

Kosas is another beauty brand that I’ve seen all over social media and have been dying to try. Similar to ILIA, they also have an emphasis on clean and natural beauty products.

This is a medium coverage concealer that never creases on the skin. It’s super creamy and doubles up as an eye cream.

Made with ingredients like caffeine, pink algae, arnica, provitamin B5, peptides, and hyaluronic acid. All these super ingredients are meant to brighten, soothe, and plump your skin.

Over time, this concealer will reduce the look of any dark spots and discoloration. They also offer a wide range of shades to match any skin tone.

Those were all the best concealers for dark spots to add to your makeup routine. There are so many concealers out there, but I seriously can’t recommend these 8 concealers enough.
